We designed them. We build them. We designed the Maple Straight 10 Corbel in 1999 and over the years, due to customer demand, our line has grown to 70 models. We build them in our four-person shop in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado.
Perfect for Granite Countertops. Our customers send us pictures of our corbels supporting their countertops made of granite… and marble, quartz, laminate, Corian, wood, Silestone, tile, concrete, etc. See our Customer Gallery.
Simple and Strong. All of our corbels are rated at 250lbs. when properly mounted and loaded uniformly.
Unfinished, but Perfectly Sanded. We use only the finest solid maple, solid cherry and solid oak for our corbels. Our corbels are meticulously sanded and all edges have been neatly rounded over. They are ready for you to stain and finish. See our Finishing Tips.
In Stock and Ready to Ship. Place your order before 4pm MST and we will ship the same day. We offer the full range of UPS shipping services.
Choosing a Corbel. Please see our Corbel Wizard and our Corbel FAQ or call Tyler at 866-493-0879 to discuss your countertop situation.
Plan on painting your corbels? Our paint grade corbels are sanded and ready for you to paint. They may contain discolorations and/or non-structural, filled knot holes. The brace and mounting plate portion may be maple or poplar. The "L" portion is always maple. Both maple and poplar are "tight, closed grain" woods, ideal for painting.
Drywall Installation. If you intend to mount to drywall only, please see our Drywall Installation Kits.
Corbel Construction. The corbel's "L" joint is glued and screwed with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws. The corbel's "L" portion is 3/4" thick X 2" wide. The corbel's mounting plate is 3/4" thick X 2 1/2" wide. The corbel's brace is assembled with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws also. Our straight, concave, and convex braces are 3/4" thick X 1 1/2" wide, except for the Model 17's braces, which are 1 3/4" wide.
