The corbel’s “L” joint is glued and screwed with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws. The corbel’s “L” portion is 3/4" thick X 2" wide. The corbel’s mounting plate is 3/4" thick X 2 1/2" wide. The corbel’s brace is assembled with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws also. Our straight, concave, and convex braces are 3/4" thick X 1 1/2" wide, except for the Model 17’s braces, which are 1 3/4" wide.

Our paint grade corbels are sanded and ready for you to paint. They may contain discolorations and/or non-structural, filled knot holes. The brace and mounting plate portion may be maple or poplar. The “L” portion is always maple. Both maple and poplar are “tight, closed grain” woods, ideal for painting.
