We've been making wood recipe boxes since 1998 and we now have 20 models to choose from. They are built to last generations. The corner joints are glued, then reinforced with walnut, cherry or "sandwich" splines. We offer our recipe card boxes in two sizes; one to fit 3" X 5" index cards and the other to fit 4" X 6" index cards. Also, we can personalize your heirloom recipe box with laser engraving.
Our oak, walnut, cherry and maple recipe boxes are hand finished with salad bowl oil. Our beetle-kill pine boxes are finished with clear, satin lacquer. Each model is designed to hold 700 recipe cards.
Dimensions:
3 X 5 BOX: 6 1/4" wide x 8" long x 4 3/8" tall
4 X 6 BOX: 7 1/4" wide x 8" long x 5 3/8" tall

An open, filled, 3x5 Recipe Box
When our recipe boxes are fully open, the lid rests at a comfortable angle. We have attached a brass rosette to the lid which allows you to view a recipe while you're cooking.
Our recipe boxes can also be used to store important objects and notes on index cards. Here's an interesting letter we received from a customer.
"My father is very old school. He likes roll-top desks and large wooden tables on which he can spread his work out. He likes mantle windup clocks and wooden filing cabinets. He’s never sent an email in his life and still thinks that talking to someone long distance is a big deal. He also keeps copious notes on what ever crazy idea that pops into his head on 3 × 5 ruled note cards. Last week I Googled something that was not wood related, but came across your website. It looked like you had some cool products so I started to check the site out. That was when I discovered your wooden recipe boxes that hold 3 × 5 note cards (both ruled and non-ruled!).
Well, I ordered one for the old man. It came today and I gave it to him. He was like a 5-year old at Christmas! It was one of those moments when giving the gift REALLY was the best part. He now wants for me to 'take him to the internet' to see what other wood products you have. HA!!
Anyway, thanks. You made my day by making my dad happy. Oh, and I am very impressed with the quality of work. At first I was a bit skeptical of dropping $80 on a wooden box, but when I got it I saw it was worth every penny."
